Save Your Eyes

If you are like me, your eyes are getting older.  They are tired from counting tiny holes.  They are strained from lousy but ambient lighting.  My favorite blogging guru, timethief, has written a great article on easily changing the font size on your screen.  You can find the post here.  In the meantime here is a summary of her tips:

PC USERS:

Try this keyboard shortcut if you’re using:

Firefox:

  • Hold down the <CTRL> key and click the “+” or “-” key to increase or decrease font size as required.
  • Click <CTRL> and “0” to return to default text size.

Internet Explorer:

  • Click View on the browser Menu Bar.
  • Select  Text Size.

MAC OS X USERS:

Try this keyboard shortcut if you’re using:

Firefox & Safari:

  • Hold down <CMD> ‘ and ‘ click the “+” or “-” key to increase or decrease font size as required
  • <cmd > + 0 restores text to the default size.

If your operating system and/or browser is not listed check on timethief’s post.  She has others listed.  This is just a quick reference for what I expect are the most common.
